Nokia has always been a promising brand for cellular phones because of its reliability and strong body. The Nokia 220 is a dual sim card phone that can be best said as an affordable piece for regular and rough phone use. Released in February 2014, Nokia 220 opened up to positive reviews from the market. It is considered best for old age people who are new to cell phone usage and find it difficult to operate touch phones. It comes in five different colours namely red, black, white, cyan and yellow.
The picture quality is satisfactory with just 2 MP camera support, but given that Nokia cameras have always promised more than they could offer, we cannot expect more from such budget price mobile. The memory storage can be expanded up to 32 GB using the microSD memory card. Preloaded with Xpress Internet browser, the user has ready options to browse the internet at top speed without any difficulty. Equipped with a screen size of 2.4 inches, it offers good compatibility for online surfing. It is also preloaded with Facebook and Twitter so that the user can dive into social networking right away.
Nokia 220 does not let the user install any new applications like WhatsApp. The phonebook allows up to 500 entries of contacts which are a drawback if you are looking to store more contacts than the limit. The speakers are of the first class with good playback modes. Also, the battery back-up is standard quality with a backup time of 24 days on dual-sim standby mode. It stands at 52 hours for standard music playback mode, but the battery life is said to be reducing over constant use.
It also supports messaging services like MMS, SMS and IM. It also lets the user transfer files through Bluetooth file transfer. However, it does not support GPS system functionality. Compared to other phones in its price range, like the Micromax Bolt A065, Lenovo RocStar and Lava Iris X1 Atom which all belong to the touch screen genre, this phone falls down on its features. Lenovo RocStar gets an upper hand over Nokia 220 because of its 5 MP camera clarity and support for the android operating system.  Nokia 220 is best for you if you are looking for a normal phone with standard features and a basic camera. Available at such a low price it also comes with the brand of Nokia.
