The Motorola Nexus 6 features a 6-inch capacitive touchscreen having a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The phone is powered by a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset that is clocked to 2.7 GHz Quad-core processor of Krait 450 type along with 3GB RAM. The 3220 mAh Non-removable battery provided in the phone promises a talk time up to 24 hours and standby time up to 330 hours on 3G networks. The phone looks rather beautiful because of the black colored glass which occupies the front side of it. The overall design looks somewhat inspired by the Motorola series of smartphones. The phone is quite hefty with its dimensions 6.27 x 3.27 x 0.40 inches that make it difficult to use with a single hand. The phone is somewhat heavy as it weighs 184 grams.
The display of Nexus 6 is fantastic and is protected by the corning gorilla glass 3 making it a scratch resistant surface. To sum it up one can easily say that the screen is one of the premium features of the phone. The processor is very powerful; that makes the Nexus 6 to run with out any lag whatsoever, and it’s highly unlikely to disappoint anyone with its performance. Talking about the camera, it’s a sort of mixed bag. The images captured by the camera lack consistency, while the images clicked in dim light conditions are full of noise. Nexus 6 has been upgraded to Lollipop, and the use of material design in the UI looks fantastic. The battery seems to be the weakness for this amazing phone, but then again, you can use it for a complete day with a moderate to heavy usage. The device comes installed with tons of sensors, like accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer.
The Phone finds stiff competition from HTC One A9 and Oppo R7 Plus. When compared to HTC One A9, the Motorola Nexus 6 comes with a lesser price tag, while compared to Oppo R7 Plus, it is water resistant and has a powerful processor.
The Motorola Nexus 6 is a must have a phone if you want a phablet based Nexus smartphone. This phone was released in 2014 and continues to remain as one of the best smartphones present in the market.
