Lenovo is on a roll this year, releasing some very tech-savvy smartphones and P70 is one among the list that needs a quick praise. It is equipped with a 2 GB RAM, this phone works at top speed, allowing the users to multitask with many applications running in the background. It is available in a single colour model, midnight blue. The phone was announced in the market by Lenovo mobiles during February 2015 and has been available ever since.
The screen size stands at 5.0 inches with IPS LCD capacitive screen, supporting the standard 16M colours. The additional feature about the screen is that it supports multi-touch sensing for up to 5 fingers. With a large enough screen, the users have reported the phone a suitable device for long length video watching with high clarity. The device runs on a 1.7 GHz MediaTek MT6752 True Octa-Core Processor backed by a 2GB Ram. Lenovo P70 works on Android OS v.4.4.2 (Kitkat), which has been updated to v.5.1 (Lollipop) very recently. This update gave rise to minor issues in the device’s functionality which Lenovo officials have reported to be working on and that it should not be considered an issue.
Lenovo P70 comes with an internal memory of 16 GB, with lots of free space available even after considering the preoccupied storage space of the operating system. Also, the external memory card supports up to 32 GB storage. The primary camera is a good addition to this phone, which supports 13 MP with crystal clear quality, apart from features like Geotagging, touch focus, Face detection, panoramic capture and HDR photography, making it a good addition to a photographer’s choice. The front camera offers 5 MP clarity at 720 pixels standard rate.  The speakers come as a single unit and the users have given very good reviews regarding the audio clarity, even without any external audio device connection. P70 supports standard connectivity methods including Wi-Fi, hotspot, Bluetooth and USB v2.0, but there is no option for Wi-Fi direct.
The battery back-up is excellent with 4000 mAh that gives support up to 19 hours on 3G usage and 615 hours on music playback mode, which can be considered as a great back-up for such a multitasking phone. However, there are some issues in battery draining after the phone got updated to the Lollipop OS version. Overall, this phone provides just what is promised for the amount you are paying and it could be said that the users will not be disappointed with this smartphone in their hands.
