The Huawei Honor 4C was launched in April, 2015 and featured as yet another smart phone from the Chinese manufacturer focused on capturing the budget segment of smart phones. The device is priced under Rs. 10000 in India and boasts some exciting specifications. Let’s see if this time Huawei has finally managed to make decent budget smart phone.
The Huawei Honor 4C features a 5 inches LCD capacitive touchscreen that provides a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The phone is powered by a unique Hi-Silicon Kirin chipset clocked to 1.2 GHz Octa-core processor, and 2 GB of RAM. The phone runs on Android OS version 4.4.2 (KitKat), with a  planned upgrade to version 6.0 (Marshmallow), with the help of Huawei’s Emotion UI 3.0 skin. The phone comes with an 8 GB internal memory, while the memory can be expanded to 32 GB by its users using the MicroSD card slot provided in the phone. The 13 MP rear camera provided in the phone is assisted by an LED flashlight, while the front shooter is provided with 5MP. HD video recording is done by the camera at frames like 1080p@30fps. The phone has a decent appearance, but the only observable downside is that it tends to slip frequently if improperly handled. The phone is chunky, as it weighs 162 grams and so cannot be used for long stretches of time. The non-removable 2550 mAh battery provided in the phone works great.
The Huawei Honor 4C has a powerful processor that optimizes hardware and software performance, thus enabling its users to have an ultimate android experience. Videos and games are played without any kind of lag and its performance is comparable to high-end flagship phones. The 294 ppi rich display  produces vibrant screen, but suffers from sunlight legibility. The Emotion UI running on the phone has cool features like the Suspend button. One thing to note is that the UI doesn’t feature an app drawer, while the pre-installed apps are kept to a bare minimum. The camera works surprisingly well, and even the images captured in dim lights have enough details. The front shooter works well and captures amazing selfies. The speakers as well as the earpiece have low sound, which again is surprising.
The Phone finds stiff competition from Lenovo K3 Note and Infocus M810. When compared to Lenovo K3 Note, Honor 4C comes at a lesser price tag; while comparing to Infocus M810, Honor 4C has better processor and battery life.
The Huawei Honor 4C is the best smart phone for users searching for a power packed sub-Rs.10000 smart phone that possesses high end flagship features with decent battery life. The phone offers a power packed experience with its blazing fast processor, good camera performance and affordable price tag, thus qualifying it as one of the best smart phones present in the market.
